Ted Rosenthal first achieved international
recognition by winning first prize in the second annual Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition. Since
that time he has performed with many of the jazz greats of our time, including Gerry Mulligan, Art Farmer, Phil Woods,
Bob Brookmeyer, Jon Faddis, Benny Golson and James Moody.
Ted has released 10 CDs as a leader, featuring new treatments and "derangements" of jazz standards as well as original compositions.
A faculty member of The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music, Ted is very active in jazz education. He teaches courses on a variety of topics and presents jazz clinics throughout the world.

Ted Rosenthal releases his 10th CD, "The King and I," featuring an all-star trio with:
George Mraz - bass, and Lewis Nash - drums
The King and I on Venus Records, showcases Rosenthal's jazz takes on
the songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical.
